Greece/Turkey Cruise
These pictures were taken on our 1999 vacation. We flew to Athens, where we
stayed for three days. Then, we boarded a cruise ship, and visited Santorini (Thira),
Rhodes, Kusadasi (Ephesus), and then to Istanbul, where we stayed in a hotel for
three more days.
We traveled with Kay's brother Bill and his wife Evie.
View from our room in Istanbul.
It's Istanbul not Constantinople, yes it's Istanbul not Constantinople...
We cruised the Bosporus on a small boat.
Eight of us having dinner in Istanbul.
Some more of the same dinner party.
The window in back looks on to the street. This dinner was immediately before the pickpocketing.
The guy in the window looks suspicious.

Why did Constantinople get the works?
The Turks claim this is Moses's staff.
It's on display at Topkapi Palace.
There are a lot of interesting streets in Turkey.
Another interesting street.

The grounds at Topkapi Palace, with The Blue Mosque in background.
A model of the Topkapi Palace, inside the palace grounds.
That's nobody's business but the Turks.
